Maison Martin Margiela S/S 2010 Collection-New Pieces

With the recent news of Martin Margiela leaving the founded brand, we will all be very skeptical to see how much the same (or different) the position of the company is. Fortunately, by looking at the new pieces from the S/S 2010 collection; we can see that so far they will not disappoint. The collection includes two pieces of footwear; a low top trainer in violet stripes and navy blue leather (matches a leather jacket they've created), and a pair of beautiful oxfords with a gray, crocodile toe cap and a sparkly silver upper. There is also a number of tee's that MMM has created, and a black, two pocket vest with gold fabric hanging off the shoulders. Enjoy.

Turtle Neck Cardigan by Opening Ceremony

Opening Ceremony is at the head of the class with the new turtle neck cardigan. This is meant to be the replacement for the shawl neck, which makes sense with its versitility. I especially appreciate the heringbone knitting and the contrast of the darker buttons.
Opening Ceremony is a high fashion line and retailer that started in 2002. They now have their premium boutique locations in Los Angeles, New York, and Tokyo. 3.1 Phillip Lim Sneakers for Spring/Summer 2010

Simply put; 3.1 Phillip Lim has out down themselves on their S/S 2010 sneakers. Full of suede and patent leather, line is complete with only two different pairs of sneakers but in multiple colors. First, is the high-top, six eyelet suede, leather, patent leather, or combo material sneaker. It is beautifully made with a triple ribbed ankle (like that of Kanye and LV's the Jaspers). That comes in colors of a brownish-tan suede and patent leather gray, or black suede and leather. Then, there is the two eyelet desert boot/chukka mid-top. It is beatuifully made as well, and comes in either white or black suede. Check them out at Odin New York.

Marc Jacobs S/S 2010 Footwear Collection

Kanye West's favorite designer, Marc Jacobs, give us his new Spring/Summer 2010 footwear collection preview. The collection includes two pairs of suede Birkenstock looking slip-ons/desert boots with a strap and metal ring, two pairs of checkered mid-top sneakers, one pair of navy blue low-top sneakers, and lastly; tow pairs of super high-tops in navy blue and gray. Coincidently, the super high-tops look like a pair of Rick Owens high-tops (well, to me at least). Nonetheless, this collection is very impressive, and that is what you should expect from the iconic designer; Marc Jacobs.

Martin Margiela Steps Down From The Company He Built

Unfortunately, the rumors are true. Martin Margiela; founder of the iconic Maison Martin Margiela clothing company, is stepping down from his post. It was rumored for some time now that he was going to exit the company that he founded. The company was bought out by the Italian brand, Diesel, in 2002. Margiela was one of the historic icons in fashion in our generation, he introduced us to deconstructed fashion, and completely white boutiques. Margiela is somewhat of a mystery though, he has somehow managed to have never been photographed; even with his immense popularity. Just because he is leaving, does not mean that the company will change its views. It will stay the same, but instead being taken over by one person; it will be run by a large group of people. Hopefully, MMM will still have the same effect on fashion as it always has; I bid you adieu Mr. Margiela, and good luck.

Star Wars and New Era

Star Wars fans can now be stylish with the newest collab of New Era. Each fitted is a character from the Star Wars saga so you can believe that the same people who collect the action figures will be after every one of these hats. Some of them are a little over the top (no pun intended) while others are subtle with the character highlighted and I have to say that the Cheubaka fitted s hilarious, but I would cop it just for that reason. The fitted caps went on sale yesterday December 7. I love the idea and i can't wait to see more from New Era in the future.

Maison Martin Margiela and colette Shop-in-Shop Collabo

My second favorite designer, Martin Margiela, and prestigious French boutique, colette; have come out with with a collaboration of accessories to be sold in the colette store (unfortunately, not available at the online shop). The collabo is full of the famous MMM all-white products. The line includes collection 12, and 13; MMM's new jewelry and other collectible items. Also, expect to see the MMM book that was recently published by Rizzoli (also, did Kanye's "Glow in the Dar Tour book), lamps, scarves, and many other things. MMM and colette have also recently collaborated with world famous Swarovski crystals to create some very beautiful pieces. The shop-in-shop will be occurring between today and January 2nd, 2010. Enjoy the picturos.

Kanye To Collab W/ Fendi

Mega Star, Kanye West recently had a sitdown with Daniel Lindström of Swedish fashion magazine Cafe, during which he revealed that he is currently working on a collaboration of some sort with Italian fashion house, Fendi. For those who are fans of his Louis Vuitton sneakers, he also told Lindström that he will be releasing more colorways in the near future

Kidrobot Custom Toy Sale

Kidrobot's "Munny" toy line is having a sale of some of the dopest custom artist designed toys. The price is about an arm, a leg, and a couple of organs but if you've got the bank account for these kinds of things and you love toys, this is the place for you. Kidrobot has almost 30 different artists world wide and a few of them come together to create this exhibition. If you don't know anything about the Kidrobot, Munny series, it's a blank figure which anyone can buy from the official Kidrobot website to customize it anyway they want. Artists all over the world have used paints, markers, other toy parts, sculpting clay, and anything else an artists thinks of using to customize the Munny figure.

Jordan's Silver Anniversary Collection Looking too Clean!

Jordan has decided to go with the super clean all white look for the Silver Anniversary Collection that will have people once again breaking their necks and wallets to get their favorite pair. I must say that some of the less popular J's look dope in all white while others need that color. To me the XI's just look spectacular in all white with the icey gum sole and shiny white patent leather.

GFS's First EVENT

Sat. January 24th @ Wayne County Community College, The Delsprite Club & Delta Sorority is hosting "The Detroit Hip-Hop Expose". This event will be the first public launch of "Get Fresh Society Inc" and the first line from GFS, "Nappi Lojik". The event will also feature designer, Blue Skye Bledsoe's line "Pompous", a special guest panel that includes Charles Pugh & performances by Young Scolla, K-Bunz, Big Sean, Rita Mosley, Jay Baretta, Dradie Da Don and YoungStar Leel. There will also be a special surprise performance.
